CFE events / Prague 23 and 24 September 2010
The General Assembly of the CFE took place in the beautiful city of Prague from 23 and 24 September 2010. The CFE meetings were held at the hotel Marriott located in the old Town of Prague.
We had the pleasure to be invited at the Senate of the Parliament of Czech Republic for a welcome cocktail on Thursday evening and to an amazing Gala dinner in the Spanish Hall of the Prague Castle on Friday evening.There are 50 images in this gallery

CFE 50th anniversary Gala Dinner
On 25th September 2009, the CFE has celebrated its 50th annviersary in Paris. To celebrate the occasion, the CFE organised an Anniversary Gala Dinner which took place at the Automobile Club de France, in Paris.

CFE 50th anniversary conference
The CFE celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2009. To highlight this event the CFE, together with the Institut des Avocats Conseils Fiscaux (IACF) and Union Professionnelle des Sociétés d'Avocats (UPSA), organized an Anniversary Conference on Friday 25 September 2009 in Paris. The topic of the Conference is "Making Europe more competitive - Where are we after 50 years?".

CFE Forum 2009 / 23.4.2009
The CFE Forum 2009 was held on Thursday 23 April at the Representation of the State Saxony-Anhalt to the European Union in Brussels.

Morning session
Crossing Borders - Exit taxes and transfer pricing in the EU – The forum considered the recent EU Council resolution inviting Member States to coordinate their policies on exit taxes to avoid discrimination and double taxation and in the light of ECJ judgments on the incompatibility of some existing exit taxes with the EC Treaty freedoms. The forum also considered recent OECD proposals on the transfer pricing aspects of business restructurings. Finally it examined the recent German legislation on exit taxation.Afternoon session
Cross-Border VAT Structures – During the session issues such as FCE Bank, VAT grouping, Societas Europeae, and cost sharing groups were discussed. Professional Affairs Conference 2008
The CFE was organising the conference "The Tax Adviser profession: ownership and cooperation - How much regulation is needed?" on Wednesday 26 November 2008.
The intention of the conference was to reflect on how regulation on the tax adviser profession are pervading the profession, particularly as regards of ownership and cooperation. The conference contained two sessions focusing upon "Risks of external ownership and regulatory responses, and multidisciplinary activities under the EU Directive on Services" and "The pervasiveness of European Community law".

CFE Meetings / Madrid, 24. - 27. 9. 2008
From Thursday 25 to Saturday 27 of September 2008 the CFE meetings took place in Madrid. The technical meetings of the General Assembly, the Fiscal Committee, the Professional Affairs Committee and the Advisory Board of the Past Presidents were held at the Hotel Ritz Madrid. The Hotel provided a beautiful setting in the centre of Madrid, just next to the Prado Museum and Plaza Mayor.

CFE Forum 2008 / Brussels, 3. 4. 2008
The CFE Forum 2008 took place on Thursday 3 April 2008 in the Renaissance Hotel in Brussels. The morning session “The Taxpayer‘s Charter -a Model for Europe?” examined the recent thinking and it debated the role that Taxpayer’s Charters can play in improving the tax systems in all countries to the benefit of revenue authorities, taxpayers and tax advisers. The afternoon session “VAT formalities for electronic invoicing - a challenge for Europe‘s businesses” highlighted the overall technical and legal issues as today business suffer from legal uncertainty, non-compliance with requirements and a lack of confidence in the implementation of e-Business solutions.

CFE Breakfast briefing / 1. 7. 2008
On Tuesday, 1 July 2008, the first Breakfast Briefing organised by the Confédération Fiscale Européenne took place on the premises of the European Parliament. The topic that members of the European Commission, the European Parliament and the CFE very actively exchanged ideas and their points of views on, was the Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base (CCCTB).

CFE Forum 2007 / Brussels, 19. 4. 2007
The yearly CFE Forum took place on Thursday, 19th of April 2007 at the Concert Noble in Brussels. The title of the morning session was “The coordinated approach of national direct tax systems as the answer to ECJ decisions”. Speakers were Michel Aujean (Director E, DG TAXUD/European Commission, Brussels), Volker Heydt (Head of Unit E3, DG TAXUD / European Commission, Brussels) and Ernst Czakert (Head of Divison IV B6, Federal Ministry of Finance, Berlin). The afternoon session had the title “How fraud is destroying the single market”. Speakers were Gabriele Himsel (Head of Divison IV A2, Federal Ministry of Finance, Berlin), Richard Brown (Head of International Indirect Taxation, HM Treasury, London) Wolfgang Nolz (Director General IV, Federal Ministry of Finance, Vienna) and Alexander Wiedow (Director D, DG TAXUD/European Commission, Brussels).
